The owner of a small accounting firm decides it's time. Three employees already use ChatGPT on their personal accounts. One of them suggests moving everything to Gemini, since all the mail is in Gmail anyway. His partner read on LinkedIn that everyone is switching to Claude.
He opens three tabs and finds three pricing tables, three model names he can't pronounce, and three kinds of "agents." He closes the laptop and asks us over the phone: "Just tell me what to buy."
Our answer started with a question: where does your work live today?
ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude for business? Small business owners ask us this again and again. ChatGPT is OpenAI's assistant, Gemini is Google's, and Claude is Anthropic's. Each now offers business seats, connections to work tools and agents that work for you. We checked every figure in this article against the official sites of all three companies, as of October 6, 2026, and clearly marked what we could not verify.
Full disclosure: Platin Digital is an OpenAI Select Partner. That's why we took extra care to be fair to Google and Anthropic here, and every assessment of ours is labeled as ours.
In short
- There is no single answer. All three tools suit businesses, and all three state that business-plan data is not used for training by default. The practical difference is where your work lives.
- Gemini is the natural choice if your business already lives in Gmail, Docs and Drive. A Business Standard seat costs $14 a month on annual billing, and it's documented in Hebrew too.
- ChatGPT is strong on connections to team tools (Slack, Teams, SharePoint, Google Drive) and on persistent agents, called dots. Claude is strong at working on files and documents through Cowork. A Standard seat costs $20 on annual billing at both.
- None of the three has published a ready-made connection to WordPress or to managing Google Ads on the pages we checked. For tasks like that you still need a dedicated agent.
ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude: a tenant, a consultant and a colleague
Gemini is a tenant, ChatGPT is a consultant with keys, and Claude is a colleague sitting at the next desk. That's the image worth keeping, and it explains most of the differences below. It's our framing, not an official definition from the companies.
Gemini is a tenant because it already lives with you. It's inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Meet, and you don't need to bring material to it.
ChatGPT is a consultant with keys. It lives in its own place and gets access to your accounts through connections: Google Drive, Gmail, SharePoint, Slack and more. The dots, its persistent agents, can also be tagged inside Slack and Microsoft Teams.
Claude is a colleague at the next desk. In Cowork you open folders and apps to it, and it works on them and asks before it acts.
The full comparison table
If you don't have time to read everything, this table is the article. Every row was checked against an official source. "Not verified" means we could not confirm it on the official pages, not that the capability is missing. Prices are in US dollars, before tax.

How much does it cost a business?
For $20 a month on annual billing you get a seat in ChatGPT Business or Claude Team. For $14 you get all of Workspace with Gemini. The comparison isn't exact, and not because of the amount.
Sources: ChatGPT's pricing page, Google's Workspace AI page and Claude's pricing page, as of October 6, 2026. Prices are before tax. Dollar prices for Google's Business Starter and Plus: not verified.
Gemini is sold as part of Workspace, so the $14 also covers mail, calendar and files. If you're already on Workspace, you don't pay separately for an AI tool. If you're not, you'd have to move your mail, calendar and files to get that advantage, and that's not a small cost.
ChatGPT and Claude also have a Premium seat at $125 monthly or $100 annually, with 5x the usage. In ChatGPT, dots are included in it. We recommend starting with one or two Standard seats and checking whether you hit the limit. Starting on monthly billing costs more, but you're not locked in.
Language, Israel and privacy: three checks before you pay
All three are available in Israel according to the official lists, and none of them trains on business-plan data by default. The difference is in Hebrew, and in the fine print on privacy.
Israel. Israel appears on Anthropic's and Gemini's country lists. On OpenAI's page we couldn't open the list, so we rely on an official search result. Check in your account before buying. Google's Spark and OpenAI's dots have exclusion lists, and they don't include Israel. The rollout is gradual, and the option may not have reached your account yet.
Hebrew. Google publishes a detailed list of Workspace capabilities in Hebrew, from Gemini in the Gmail panel to speech translation in Meet. Claude doesn't list Hebrew among its interface languages, but Anthropic describes the models as multilingual. For ChatGPT we found no official confirmation on the pages that opened for us. There is no official public test comparing writing quality in Hebrew, so we don't grade the quality of the Hebrew. The only way to know is to try. Take ten real tasks from your business and give them to all three. If you work in another language, run the same test in yours.
Privacy. In ChatGPT Business, according to OpenAI, business data is not used for training by default. The same goes for Claude Team and Enterprise, except for feedback you choose to send, and the organization admin can turn that off. At Google, content and conversations in Gemini on a Workspace account are not used for training and are not reviewed by humans without your approval. This rule applies to the business plans. Free and paid personal accounts follow different rules, so don't pass customer data through them.
Agents and computer control: what each one offers, and what it doesn't
All three tools now offer an agent that works in the background, but they differ on who gets it in a business plan. In ChatGPT: dots in Business Premium. In Gemini: Spark for selected business users. In Claude: Cowork on all Team seats.
In ChatGPT, a dot is a persistent agent, based on GPT-6 Astra, that works on a cloud computer and its own browser even when you're not logged in. You can talk to it in ChatGPT, in a voice chat, in Slack and in Teams. According to OpenAI, before an action that affects your accounts a check runs: approve, ask for approval, or hand over to you. In Enterprise it's off by default. Full details are in our guide to dots.
In Gemini, Spark is a personal agent that works in the background and in the cloud, across Gmail, Calendar, Drive and Docs. According to Google, it should ask before actions like spending money or sending an email. It's currently available to AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and selected business users. Businesses also have Workspace Studio, where you build agents without code.
In Claude, Cowork works on files in folders you choose, and asks before it acts. One point worth knowing: Computer use, where Claude operates apps on your computer, is available according to Anthropic only on the Pro and Max plans, not on Team or Enterprise. Claude in Chrome has a version for Team seats.
Scorecard: how we see it
ChatGPT leads on connections and controls, Gemini on Workspace integration and price, and Claude on working with files and office connections. This is our assessment based on what has been published, not a measurement or a benchmark.
Full disclosure, again: Platin Digital is an OpenAI Select Partner. We tried to score each row by a fact you can check, not by gut feeling. If you think we scored something unfairly, write to us and we'll fix it.
Scorecard: our assessment, Platin Digital, on a scale of 1 to 5
Our assessment, based on what was published through October 6, 2026. Not a performance test and not a measure of answer quality. "Not verified" means we found no confirmation on an official page, not that the capability is missing. For Claude, Hebrew gets 3 because it isn't on the interface language list, but the models are described as multilingual. On price, Gemini gets 5 because the Workspace price is lower, but it covers a whole suite. Platin Digital is an OpenAI Select Partner.
Look at the last row. All three get the same score there. In most of the other rows, the differences are smaller than they look from the outside.
Which AI is best for business? It depends where your work lives
Don't choose by model. Choose by where your team's work already sits. Models change every few weeks, as Google proved when it released Gemini 3.7 Flash three weeks after 3.6. The place where your work lives changes slowly.
The common way: choose by model
- Read comparisons of benchmark results
- Switch tools every time a new model comes out
- Buy seats for the whole team from day one
- Discover a month later that nobody connected it to their own tools
The way we recommend: choose by place
- Write down where the team's mail, files and chat are
- Try one tool, with two seats and one task
- Connect only what you need, with read-only permission
- Check after a month whether the task got done, and only then expand
Who needs what: our recommendation
ChatGPT fits when...
- The team works in Slack or Teams
- Files are in SharePoint or Google Drive
- You want a persistent agent, dots, with rules for each action
- You already have ChatGPT on personal accounts and need to move them to a business account
Gemini fits when...
- The business lives in Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Meet
- The team doesn't want to learn a new tool
- Official Hebrew documentation in Workspace matters to you
- Price is a key consideration
Claude fits when...
- The work is on documents and files in folders
- You want the agent to ask permission for each app before it acts
- You need seats for a team of two to 150 people
- You work with Microsoft 365 or Slack
Pick the persona closest to you

Small physical shop · four employees · everything in Gmail and Drive
We've been on Google Workspace for years. What's the most natural fit for us?
Gemini inside Workspace. There are no connections to set up, and it appears in the Gmail and Docs panel. Check which of your editions includes the Gemini app with extended access, because on Starter access is basic and limited.
Our recommendation: Gemini, on your existing Workspace
Marketing office · eight people · Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
We work in Teams, and the files are in SharePoint.
ChatGPT Business or Claude Team, and both connect to SharePoint or Microsoft 365. In ChatGPT you can tag @ChatGPT in Teams. Claude has a connector for Microsoft 365 and Slack. One or two seats of each, a week of testing, and one identical task.
Our recommendation: ChatGPT or Claude, according to the test
Small consulting office · contracts, proposals and long files
Most of our work is reading and writing documents.
Claude Team with Cowork is a natural candidate, because it works on files in folders you choose and asks before acting. Try the other two on the same documents as well. And in Hebrew, the test is the decision.
Our recommendation: Claude, and a test against the others
Freelance consultant · Gmail, Drive and clients' Slack
I'm on my own. I don't need user management, just an assistant.
Business seats are less essential here. But if you process client information, a business plan protects it better than a personal account. ChatGPT Business requires at least two users, like Claude Team.
Our recommendation: whatever is already connected to your Gmail
Clinic · WordPress site · Google Ads and Meta campaigns · Israel
I need someone to update the site, prepare campaigns and bring me a weekly report.
All three tools are worth using for drafts, writing and summaries. But for connecting to the site and to advertising, with a separate user and permission for each system and your approval on every budget change, consider a dedicated agent.
Our recommendation: helper tools, and a dedicated agent for the systems
Illustration. The personas and situations are made up. The recommendations are our assessment, as of October 6, 2026.
Check the boxes: what fits you?
Check every statement that's true for your business today, not what might be true later. The list with the most checks is your starting point. Nothing is saved.
Signs that ChatGPT fits
Signs that Gemini fits
Signs that Claude fits
A tie? That's a good sign. Our recommendation: one seat of each of the two closest tools, a month of testing, and one identical task.
What none of them does yet for a small business
All three tools were built as general assistants and team agents, not as an employee wired deeply into the systems of one particular business. That's not a criticism. It's the product definition.
Deep access to the site
- A ready-made WordPress connection doesn't appear on the pages we checked
- Before a significant change you need a backup and a way back
Advertising and budget
- Google Ads management doesn't appear as a ready-made connection on the pages we checked
- A budget change always needs your approval
Permission per system
- All three work through your accounts and permissions
- A dedicated user with minimal permission for each system takes setup
Channel and language
- Telegram doesn't appear as an official channel in any of them
- Hebrew support varies between the tools, so check for yourself
This is where a dedicated agent for the business comes in. It runs in a separate environment, connects to WordPress, Google Ads, Meta and Analytics with a dedicated user and permission, and works by rules written for the business. Details in the guide to an AI agent for business, and in the guide on how to build an AI agent for your business.
And in fairness: for a business that lives in Workspace, Gemini may be entirely enough. A dedicated agent earns its place when the work sits in systems that off-the-shelf tools don't reach, or when you need separation between systems.
How to choose: four steps for the coming week
- Write down where the work lives. Mail, files, chat and calendar, for each employee.
- Pick one task that repeats every week. A meeting summary, a draft proposal, a reply to a customer.
- Try it in two of the tools, with two seats, and compare the results on real work in your own language. Start with read-only permission, and ask for approval before every send.
- Decide after a month. If it's not clear which is better, pick the one that connects better to your team's tools.
Want to go deeper? We have a comparison of the three big personal agents in Muse, dots or Grok Bot, and a guide to OpenAI's dots.
Platin Digital is an OpenAI Select Partner, and we set up agents for businesses with whichever models and tools fit each business best, from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others. They run on a separate cloud server, connect to WordPress, Google Ads, Meta and Analytics, and receive tasks on Telegram. Publishing, budget changes and sensitive actions always wait for your approval. If Gemini or Claude suits some of your tasks better, we'll say so.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude?
ChatGPT is OpenAI's assistant, Gemini is Google's and Claude is Anthropic's. All three offer business seats, connections to work tools and agents that run in the background. The big difference is where each one lives: Gemini is built into Workspace, ChatGPT connects to team tools like Slack and Teams and has dots, and Claude works on files and documents through Cowork. On price, a Standard seat in ChatGPT and in Claude costs $20 on annual billing, and Google's Business Standard costs $14, including all of Workspace.
Which AI is best for a small business?
There is no single best tool for every business, and we don't think anyone can say so without testing. The choice depends on where your work already lives. A business that lives in Gmail and Drive will start with Gemini. A business that works in Slack or Teams will test ChatGPT or Claude. The safest way is a one-month trial with two seats and one task, in real work in your own language.
Is my business data used to train the models?
According to the official documents, not on the business plans and not by default. OpenAI states that ChatGPT Business data is not used for training by default. Anthropic says the same for its commercial products, with the exception of feedback you choose to send. Google says Workspace content and conversations in Gemini are not used for training without your approval. Personal accounts follow different rules, so don't pass customer information through them.
Do Gemini, Claude and ChatGPT work in Hebrew and in Israel?
The official country lists for Gemini and Claude include Israel, and for ChatGPT Israel appears on OpenAI's list according to our search, which is worth verifying in your account. In Hebrew, Google publishes a detailed list of Workspace capabilities available in Hebrew. For Claude, Hebrew isn't on the interface language list, and the models are described as multilingual. For ChatGPT we didn't verify. Writing quality in Hebrew hasn't been measured in an official test, so the best approach is to try your own tasks. If you're outside Israel, check the same two things, availability and language, for your country.
Which of them works as an agent that operates the computer?
In ChatGPT, a dot works on a cloud computer and its own browser, in Business Premium and Enterprise. In Claude, Computer use is available according to Anthropic only on Pro and Max, not on Team or Enterprise. In Gemini, Spark works in the background in the cloud, for AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and selected business users. In every case, start with minimal permission and approve every sensitive action, such as sending an email or changing a budget.
Is it worth paying for several tools at once?
Usually not at the start. Most small businesses will get more from one well-connected tool than from three that live separately. It does make sense to try two in parallel in the first month, with two seats in each, and then cancel whichever didn't connect to your work. If you have Workspace, Gemini is already included, so the comparison is about what you'd add beyond it.
